Until I do, You're gone away. I'm left alone. A part of me is gone and I'm not moving on. So wait for me, I know the day will come. I'll met you there.

As I pour orange juice into a glass, Sid walked in sporting a huge grin. "What's this, Rain?"
Tip toeing over, I wrapped my arms around his neck, "Breakfast, duh" I kissed him and felt him smiling through it. "Hope you like a little bit of everything."
"I couldn't turn it down!" I grabbed his plate waiting for him and sat down at the island. "What time do you have to be at work?"
I looked back at the clock and it was only 8:30. "Ten, so I will finish up pretty early, like three or so."
"Well, you better go get ready." He kissed my lips and I went to the bathroom to shower and get ready for work.

Before I knew it, Thanksgiving was in two days. Sidney didn't mention having dinner with anyone, so I avoided the subject, even though it was pecking at my brain every time I saw him. My salon stays closed for the day before and black Friday, so I had some extra time. I was also taking off that weekend, just to give myself a break before the real holiday madness started. Since Sidney and Taylor were both in the US, his family just celebrated the American holiday since they got the time off.
The lockout was still holding strong, Sidney was frustrated, but did a good job keeping it under control. I was happy he would at least get more time with his family, which means the world to him. I didn't want him to ruin his family holiday with having me back in the picture, not knowing what his family knows, and doesn't.
I was spending so much time at his place, I forgot what my own place looked like at times. I decided to stay home the last couple nights, just to make myself avoid the Thanksgiving talk I wanted to have. He didn't have to bring me, I just wanted him to show that he cares enough to let me know of his plans. It was really irritating.
My feet were up on the couch, my hair in a messy bun, and barely any makeup on. All of a sudden, there was a knock at the door. I rolled off the couch and peeked through the hole to see Sid with his hat pulled down low. "What are you doing here," I asked, confused. "Thought you had a meeting."
"I did, but I missed you so I stopped by," he said kissing me and coming inside. "Hope I'm not being rude or catching you off guard."
Just smiling, I shook my head. "You're goofy. You can always come here, like I always come to your place." I plopped back onto the couch and Sidney sat at the other end, picking up my legs, and laying them over his. "Ohhh, do I get a foot rub," I asked, wiggling my eye brows.
"Only because I think you're absolutely beautiful, yes."
Then I remembered what a mess I was. "Ugh! Sid, I'm super ugly right now," I pouted.
He just smiled and shook his head. "Never, babe."
We sat, watching the tv together in silence. I felt the words coming out of my mouth, without being controlled.
"Soooo, any plans this weekend?" Yup, leave it to me to just blurt that out.
"Nope." He just kept staring at the tv. I just felt myself getting angry. If looks could kill, I'm sure Sidney would of died a horrible death. He looked over at me, and laughed. "I've been waiting all week for my family to get back to me. We weren't sure who's house was having the dinner this year. Since I just found out today, it will just be at my house, I came over to ask if you want to join me since I know you have the time off." Being super embarrassed, I just laughed at myself. "Welllll?" he asked leaning closer to me.
"Of course, I will," I kissed his big lips and pushed him away. "Never wait that long ever again!" I said slapping his arm.
"Ha ha, sorry, babe. It was cute."

Sidney and I boarded the plane Wednesday afternoon and headed to Nova Scotia. I had to find a crafty was to avoid my family without telling them about Sidney. I figured I would rather wait till this little trip to see how things could work out. He told his family he was bringing his new girlfriend and they were very welcoming. I was just hoping they wouldn't treat me differently after things happened. The whole flight, I was sweated bullets and felt my stomach cramping up. Sidney was sleeping about 30 minutes after we took off, so he was no comfort.
We landed and had a rental waiting for us. I saw Sid looking at me out of the corner of my eye. "You okay, babe?" he asked grabbing my hand from my lap.
"Yeah, just nervous. I feel like they're gonna hate me or something."
He just laughed, "Raina, they all are good hearted people. You have nothing to worry about. I assure you that." Bring my hand to his lips, he kissed it softly.
We pulled up to his childhood home and he just grinned at me. "Do I gotta hold you hand the whole way there?"
Giving him the sink eye, I said, "Of course!"
"Good, because I wanted to," he winked, stealing a quick kiss. We stepped out into the damp weather. It just rained, the leaves were all over the road, and the place was lit with soft lights. Sid rang the door bell and put his arm around my waist.
"I got it!" I heard a voice call, that sounded like his mom's. She opened the door with a huge smile. "Oh, my! Raina!" she exclaimed, hugging me tightly. "Troy! Look how Sid brought home! Raina!"
"Don't tell me look if you're going to spoil the surprise!" he yelled back.
Taylor ran the door with a huge smile, "Raina?! Sid!" she gave both of us a hug. She grew so much in just a few years. "Are you the girlfriend?"
"I sure hope so!" I laughed.
"She so so nervous to come," Sid teased, as we entered the house.
Trina took our bags and hugged us both. "Now, dear, never feel like that. You are a sweet heart. Some times are better the second time around!"
"Hey, son," said Troy, embracing him in a hug. "Good to see both of you," he smiled, giving myself another sigh of relief. "How was the flight?"
"Not too bad," Sid said, as we took off our shoes.
"Coming from the guy who slept the whole time,"rolling my eyes, his family laughed.
"That's Sid, for ya!" said Trina, laughing. "Well, come in the living room, relax! I made an apple pie this afternoon just for us after dinner tonight. It should be ready shortly. Raina, would you like to come help?"
I glanced to Sid, who just had a smile, and nodded his head towards the kitchen. "Of course," I said nervously, following her.
"Be easy on her mom!" he called from the living room.
Taylor followed us and sat at the table. "So, I'm surprised to see you," pulling out biscuits from the oven, Trina placed them on top of the stove. "But, I am very happy. You were a very good girl for Sidney."
"Thank you, Trina," blushing, I grabbed some plates to set around the table.
"What have you been up to over the years, I must ask."
"Well, I got my cosmetology license and I work around the city for a great shop doing makeup and hair, frequently for commercials and magazines. That's actually how I ran into Sidney. So, I guess it has worked out for the best."
"Thank god, because Emily was super clingy and annoying," Taylor said, rolling her eyes, making me laugh.
"Taylor, don't talk badly about people," Trina scolded.
"But, mom, she pretty much worshiped the ground Sid walked on. He's not that great."
I just couldn't hold back my laugh. "Well, I'm just happy how things have worked out. It's awesome to get to be around you guys once again." I helped bring food to the table for Trina. "So, Taylor you have anyone special?" I asked, lifting my eyebrows.
"Nope," she said while her mom was turned around, but nodding her head up and down.
"You can tell me later," I whispered.
_______________________________________________
Around the table we told our story of how we met once again, what we all did the last few years, and ate the delicious apple pie. We all helped clean up and headed to the living room to watch some TV. Sid and Taylor compared their lives in Minnesota, while Trina was asking me what all I did and how hard it was. Troy would pop in and out of conversation before disappearing to bed while Trina followed.
"I'm gonna go shower and get ready for bed, babe," Sid said, kissing my forehead and walking towards the bathroom.
I looked over at Taylor with a smile, "So, tell me about this interest!"
Her face lit up, which was adorable. "His name is Mike. He's super awesome and plays hockey, too, at my school. We are two years apart, which is why I really don't wanna say anything to mom yet."
"Understandable! She seemed real understanding though. Common, her kids left home so young. I think she knows you guys are far beyond your years," I laughed. "You two are good kids."
"Thanks, Raina. I'm happy you are back. I think you leaving really made Sidney realize there's more to life than hockey. Yeah, that's his life, but he needs more than just us to lean on while he's back in Pittsburgh. He was really bummed out when you left."
I just bit my lip, "We both needed some growing up to do, but I'm happy we are both here now. He really makes me happy. And he has the coolest family." We both smiled and I got up and hugged her.
"It's nice having another girl around here I can trust. See you in the morning, Raina." We both made our way to the bedroom and I got undressed while Sid was finishing up in the bathroom.
He walked in, wearing just his boxers and flexing his muscles. "You are such a dork," I laughed, pulling him on the bed and kissing him. "Thanks for bringing me babe. I needed this."
"Me too. I'm happy you joined me, even though I took forever to ask," he chuckled, turning off the lamp next to him and wrapping his arm around my waist. "Good night, Raina."
"Night, Sid."

I sat in the parking lot waiting for Sidney. He told me he was close by. I was happy to get a little break and sit down to eat. Sidney's Rover pull up beside me and I just grinned at him as he glanced over with his silly smile, wearing a beanie. I stepped out and followed him into the restaurant. He grabbed my hand and told me, "You're beautiful."
I let out a laugh, "Thanks, but I look like a bum!"
"Never!" he planted a kiss on my lips before walking inside.
Of course he turned heads in the place. "Two?" the hostess asked, while grabbing menus.
"Yeah, can I be sat in a corner?" he asked, trying to avoid all of the people. Luckily it was still early, so it wasn't packed yet, until more people on lunch started to come in.
"Of course."
We were led to the table and Sidney pulled out my chair for me. "Don't try to impress all these people!" I joked as he sat down.
"I'm a gentleman!" He truly was. I couldn't deny it. We placed our order and he gave me a serious look, turning the mood. "Uhm, I broke things off with Emily."
I shot him a surprised look. "But... why?"
"You. I feel for you too much to stay with her and try to make things work with both of you. You make me feel so different. I can't be put on a peddle stool when I can't always be there for someone. I have a busy life and I need someone who understands that. She relied on me, and I hate that. I love your independence."
I knew I had a stupid smile on my face. I felt bad for the girl, but you can't change someone's mind and we are fighting for the same man. This time, I'm a different person and have to show Sid that. "I'm sorry, I'm sure it was hard for you, being the person you are. In reality though," I looked up from my drink and grinned, "I couldn't be happier to be the only girl... that I know of!"
"You are, Raina." He held my hand and gave it a light kiss. "So, you want to come to the team Halloween party at Mario's this weekend?" Halloween was next Wednesday.
"Sure! Just let me know what time. Can we match?!"
"Whatever you want!" he laughed. Our food was brought to the table and we talked about my morning at work. I couldn't wait to get home and just relax. "Want to come over tonight? You can stay and bring whatever you need for work in the morning. I want to spend more time you you."
"Yeah, I'll be there," I spoke without thinking. I wasn't going to talk myself out of it though. All I wanted was to be with him even more after knowing things were picking up again. He paid the bill and we walked the car. It was still sprinkling a bit.
"Text me after you get home and ready to come over."
"Okay," I gave him a kiss and went off to finish my day of work. I just wanted it to be over!

"So, Raina," Gina, a girl I worked with at the salon, "you had a lunch date?"
"I might have," I blushed.
"With who! I've been trying to ask you out for the last six months and you keep shooting me down!" Petty, the only man we had in the salon that wasn't gay.
"Until you stop asking all of us," I said pointing my finger around the salon, "it will never happen."
He sighed and sat down. "Seriously, it was a date?"
"Yeah, you weirdos! Am I not pretty enough for a date?!" I laughed.
"Don't take it like that, we just know you had it rough in the past, so it's surprising but good!" a girl Caitlin said patting my back.
"Well, sometimes your past can make up for what they did."
You did not go back to that scum bag!" Pet said appalled.
"Not the one you're thinking of. Sidney... Crosby."
"Kay, now you're lying," Caitlin laughed.
"I dated him before I ever got into beauty school. We had a rough patch because I wasn't over Justin. It was hard. We met at the RootSports photo shoot by surprise. We have been spending time together lately and I'm very hopeful that this time we both have our heads on straight."
"I wont believe it till he brings your Starbucks or something!"
Gina said half joking.Shrugging my shoulders I said, "If that's all it takes!" We all laughed and carried about our day. Them asking questions on and off about him. I knew they thought I was joking, but I was okay with that. These people were family to me, and they would get to see that side of my life sooner or later.
My day went quickly and I was headed home to pack an over night bag for Sid's. I looked through my underwear draw and picked out a matching pair of bra and underwear. I put it on underneath my outfit.
http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=99656980
It was about nine o'clock and I would normally be tired, but all the butterflies I had was keeping me awake. I walked up the the door and Sidney must of been waiting for me. "Nice to see you, beautiful," he said kissing my cheek and grabbing my bags for me. "How was the rest of your day?"
"Slowwww." He sat my bag down by the steps heading upstairs and I wrapped my arms around his neck. "I just wanted to see you," grinning at him, I leaned in for a deep kiss. His hands around my waist, quickly found my butt and gave it a squeeze. I just was really feeling hot for him. Everything about his body and personality turned me on. I broke away and looked in his eyes. I gave him a smirk and grabbed my bag and headed to his bed room.
"But, babe!" he said stopping me. "Did you eat dinner?"
I couldn't help but laugh. "I did, Sid. I grabbed food on the way home, so we wouldn't have to waste any time." I gave him a wink and hoped he'd follow. He ran up behind me, picked me up, and carried me to the bedroom. I couldn't help laughing and he laid me down on the bed, putting my bag on the floor. He ran down stairs and locked the doors and came up with two bottles of water for us. Shutting the door behind him, he crawled over top of me and crashed his lips onto mine.

\\.::=Thirty=::.//
The next day I was going to the rink with the team for some practice. Raina was working for the day and I shot her a good morning text without a reply yet. I figured she was busy. I ran into Marc on my way through the parking lot. "What's up dude?" I gave him a friendly hand shake.
He grinned, "How was the weekend?"
"Who told you?" Marc gave me the who know who look. "Vero."
"Yup, Raina called her last night. She sounded really excited."
I just grinned and headed into the locker room. There were a few people watching practice in the stands. I looked up and found Emily on a bleacher. I felt my heart drop in my stomach. I had to find a way to make this situation right. I trying my best to ignore even seeing her. I was playing sloppy. Fans were enjoying my moves, but I knew they weren't on point and so did the guys.
I skated off of the ice and threw my stick down after I got passed the doors and away from everyone. I just wish we could of made things right the first time, Riana and I. I sighed and sat on the bench. There were a few teammates and staff walking around but didn't bother to ask what was wrong. I took off my gear and jumped on a bike. I didn't want eyes on me, especially Emily's.
I wasn't sure how much time passed while I was working out, but I noticed the sound of the guys die down. I headed back into the locker room and it was cleared out. I took a shower and walked out to my car. I checked my phone and found a text from Raina.
Morning! Well afternoon lol. I'm so busy today. How are you?
I felt a smile on my face. Having a rough day. I'm not to busy tomorrow, want to grab lunch on your break?
I put my phone in my pocket and walked to my car. I waited long enough to escape fans. There are just some days I don't want to be a public figure. As I almost make to my car, I hear my name called. I took a deep breath and looked over, noticing the voice.
"Sidney! Sid," Emily rushed over, wrapping her arms around me.
I wrapped one arm around her, patting her back. "Were you here the whole time?" I asked pretending I didn't notice she was there the whole practice.
She pulled away with a smile, "Yeah, I guess you didn't see me out there. I waited a while for you to come out. I even beat the fans!" she giggled.
"Yeah," I sighed, rubbing the back of my neck. "So, what's going on?"
"I just wanted to come out and support you. I thought about asking if you want to come over for dinner after you get home and relax a bit."
I looked at the ground and gave it a thought, feeling my phone buzz in my pocket. I knew it was Raina. The girl that left me so long ago. I looked at Emily and gave her a smile. "Just come to my place around four and you can cook there." I needed to give both girls a chance.
"Okay!" she gave me a kiss and winked, "I'll see you in a bit."
_______________________________________________________________
I was texting Raina here and there. We decided on lunch tomorrow since all she had was a photo shoot in the morning and nothing else till the afternoon for a home visit with a client. Her salon preformed to go services. She really transformed from what seemed like a dead end job to a wonderful, career driven woman. That's what was making me see the changes, but I couldn't rely on that. I needed more time to see where my heart was.
Emily came to my house a little after four and kissed my cheek as she walked inside. "How are ya?" she asked bubbly, walking straight to the kitchen with a few bags from the store.
"I have everything planned out. You can help if you want," she said grabbing pots and pans out of my cabinets. I helped cut up chicken and make pasta. I wasn't much of a cook, but I did what I could. She had me set the table while she finished the rest. There was something about Emily that wasn't making me excited. She was predictable and clingy. Although, she was sweet and kind. She treated me well, which I was thankful for. I just wondered if she was like this because she cared for me or because I was a super star athlete. Maybe it was both. Raina didn't seem to mind that at all. When she met me, she knew a great deal of hockey, but seemed occupied with her own life and that was attractive. I had to tell my story and she wouldn't read a book about me before a date to know what foods or tv shows I liked. It was like I was working for her, instead of her working for my attention.
Emily walked into the room, interrupting my thoughts. "Ready?" she asked bring out the food.
"Bring it on!" I laughed sitting down in front of my plate. Emily talked about her job and all the drama. She worked at bank in Pittsburgh and always had a story about a rude customer or some girl she worked with. I just would take it all in and nod.
"Sid," she said drawing my attention to her face. "What makes you want Raina back?"
My heart felt into my stomach, again. This was happening too often lately. "I just..." trying to get my words to come out right, I just felt like I was stumbling. "She just... makes me feel different. Emily, this is wonderful and all, but you can't force something that isn't there. I haven't found a girl that makes me feel like I have to work for something. Raina does that. She makes me reach for more. It's like I'm not just an athlete; I'm a real person to her."
"I don't make you any type of way?" I felt her search for an answer in my eyes and looked disappointed when nothing came out right away.
"It's not that I don't feel any type of way with you. It's just it's not what I'm looking for. I love everything you do for me, but I'm pampered. You deserve a man who is going to treat you the same, if not better, than you treat them." I saw her eyes fill up with tears. I got up and moved next to her. I handed her a napkin. "I can't wipe your tears anymore, Em. We have to move on and stop trying to make this work if you're getting this upset."
"I never gave up on you, Sidney! She did!"
"Raina never gave up. I pushed her away with my attitude. I fucked up and I feel awful for that. I have to make it up to her."
"Maybe she doesn't want a guy to give her everything! She doesn't do anything for you."
I felt myself angry. "Emily, she makes me happy. She always has. Sometimes your just drawn to someone and you can't explain why." She didn't bother to hold tears back. Her make up was starting to dip down her face. "I'll clean up. You can go home. I'm sorry, Em. I was trying. I really was."
"No hard feelings." She grabbed her purse and walked to the door. I followed to shut the door behind her. She turned around and pressed her lips against mine. "Bye, Sidney."
With that she walked outside. I felt the cold air swoop inside of my house. I shut the door and ran my fingers through my hair. "Fuck!"
_______________________________________________________
The next day I felt like shit. I drank a few beers and passed out on the couch. It was almost ten and I made plans to see Raina for lunch. Quickly getting ready, I thought about last night and wondered if what I did was right. In my heart it felt like it was, but my mind was just wondering. Raina texted me, I'll meet you at Applebee's in Robinson at 11:30. I couldn't wait.

"Which way first?" he said looking left and right, back and forth.
"Rock, papers, scissor? I say left!"
"Deal! Rock, paper, scissor, SHOOT!"
"Paper beats rock!" I yelled, bouncing.
"Best two out of three!" he called as I started heading towards the winning destination.
"Nice try, Crosby!" I walked into the sunken garden and was a little disappointed I picked such a lame room.
"Yeah, lets go left, Sid. It's soooo cool," he mocked me.
I waved him off and looked around, "There's a cool colorful snake!"
"Where!" freaking out, Sidney was looking all over the ground.
"Right there, you dork!" I laughed, pointing to the decoration. "What a scaredy cat!" He rolled his eyes as we made it into the next room. "Lets go into the most boring ones first. I'm sure it gets better!" I said being optimistic. We walked around the Victoria Room and noticed the interesting fountain, where we could control the jets and lights.
"Okay, I'll admit, it's getting cooler!" he laughed. We headed near Broderie Room, where most weddings were held. "This would be annoying to walk through for a wedding. Were does everyone sit! The bride would get lost making it to the alter!" Sid said looking around, trying to find the end of it.
I just chuckled and agreed, "Well, be sure to not pick this out for a venue, dear." Outside was an aquatic garden. For being fall, it was still very pretty. It was getting cooler outside as the day drug on. We made it to the East room with a beautiful waterfall. There was something about those that made me feel so peaceful. "When I have like a million dollars one day, I'll have my own waterfall," I joked, but with a completely serious face.
"I wonder why I haven't thought of getting one myself!" Sid said, really considering it. I just glared at him, knowing it would be nothing to him to get a whole scene of nature in his yard.
We made it through the whole place, enjoying the beautiful things nature could create. My favorite was the Tropical room with the cool, goofy statue, made out of weird flowers or a tree, that looks like a Wild Thing. Sidney and I bought a few things from the gift shop before heading out. We decided it was time to get some food since our stomachs were growling at this point.
We headed into South Side and walked down the street to find the prefect place. "I don't think I want fancy," I wrinkled my nose, passing Nakama.
"Where ever your little tummy pleases," he said with his arm around my shoulder and patting my stomach, making me giggle.
We decided on a small pizza shop, Gennaro's. We were served quickly and we finished off a whole pizza together. I guess that's what happens when you wait all day to eat again, minus a small sandwich we grabbed before we left the zoo. "Well, I'm ready to sleep till next week," I laughed.
"One last surprise," grinning, Sid sipped on his water. "Ready?" I sighed and nodded. "You don't wanna go? You wanna go home?" he asked, looking defeated.
"No, sweetheart!" I said getting up, "I'm just worried you might have to roll me to our next destination."
He had a sigh of relief, "Good, you'll love this," he said kissing me. We drove down to the incline and I knew his plan exactly. I just felt butterflies all over. This was just a perfect ending to our night. We rode to the top of Mount Washington, enjoying the final bit of Sunlight. He held me close as we sat on the cold ground. Everything today was just so wonderful. I felt so peaceful and nothing was holding me back. I really let go of every fear I had and was ready to love Sidney with my whole heart, without second guessing.
We turned to one another, as if we both knew what each other was thinking, and closed the gap between us, our lips pressing together. His tongue gliding across my bottom lip, wanting to tangle with tongue. I knocked off his hat, holding it with one hand, while I grabbed his curls with the other. His hands roaming my lower body, I could feel things heating up. It would be the perfect ending to our night, but I needed to set a line for us starting out again. I pulled away smiling and gave him one last, small kiss.
"Let's get going, Mister."

\\.::=TwentyEight=::.//
I woke up the next day full of energy and a text from Sid saying to be at his house around 8:30 and to not worry about eating. I was very excited to head out and see the city. Maybe Sidney and I knew of places that each other didn't know about. I took a shower and put some makeup on. I curled my hair loosely and picked out a comfortable outfit.
http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=87087959
I was meeting Sidney at his house. The drive was giving me gitters. I pulled into the drive way and parked. Making sure my appearance was perfect, I got out and walked to Sid's door. I knocked and stepped back a bit. "Good morning!" he smiled. "Lets get going."
He opened my door like a gentleman. We headed towards the city. It was my favorite feeling. "I love car rides. I'm like a dog," I laughed.
Sid grinned, "you're a goof ball. How is Millie by the way?" Referring to my dog.
I sighed, "She was put to sleep last year. She was very sick. I miss her like crazy but I'm too busy."
"Understandable. I wanted to bring my pooch home, but I've been so back and forth, it's best he's home with my parents."
I wanted to get this Em thing off of my chest before our day started. I knew it would bother me. "Sid," I said looking out of the window, gaining courage.
"Yeah?"
"Who's Em? The one you were on the phone with yesterday. I could over hear you."
He took in a deep breath. I knew it was going to be a long explanation. "Emily is a girl I've been seeing on and off for the last few months. We're not serious. She wants us to be, but I was never ready for that. I guess I just had a feeling something was going to happen soon." I looked over at him and saw his lips thinned out, thinking of the right way to put this. "She did stop by last night. I told her I saw you. I didn't say everything that happened, but I wanted both of you to know before you found out the wrong way. I'm not about hiding things."
His hand was resting on console, while driving with the left. I slipped my fingers between his. "I understand. Thanks for telling me."
He glanced over and smiled, "I planned on telling you today. I just didn't know when would be right." We hit a red light and he leaned over to kiss me. I could just feel how happy we both were together. It was a wonderful feeling. "We're almost to breakfast!" he said pulling away and getting ready for the light to change.
"Where are we going?" I loved breakfast time.
"Dorstop," he grinned.
"You the fucking best!" The little restaurant was my favorite. We ordered their famous pancakes and ham. We couldn't wait to get going and enjoy our day. "I hope you planned out everything, knowing everything will take at least an extra hour to get through," I said as we left the diner, after a few people got a picture with Sidney.
"Don't worry, Raina. I got this!" he said putting his arm around my waist, walking to the car. "So, do you like animals?" he asked getting into his car.
"Shut the hark up! You are not really taking me to the zoo, are you?!" I said excitedly. He just nodded. "Eeeeee!" I squeezed. "I can't freaking wait!"
The drive way pretty short and we got there right after the opened up. Not too many people were there for it being a school day and first thing in the morning. "I rented the place out for us," he winked.
"Shut up," I back handed him in the hard stomach.
"Hey! Don't do that after I ate a huge meal," he laughed. We took the long escalator up the hill. Once we got to the top we practically were running to the first animal. We saw many big cats and the Komodo Dragon. "I wanna see the polar bears!" Sid huffed.
I gave him this strange look and laughed. "We will get there, sweet heart," I said patting his back. We weren't stopped by too many people on the way through. Finally, we made it into the PPG Aquarium. I loved the penguins, obviously. "Sid! They're so freaking cute!" I said taking about 50 pictures of them.
"You guys want to pet them?" a worker asked behind us.
My eyes were huge and Sidney answered for me, "Of course!" We followed them and was brought a little waddling penguin over to us. "We should have never brought her in here. She might try to take this one home!" Sid laughed taking a video of me and the penguin.
"I have my own penguin, thanks!" I smiled. After loving the penguin, we made our way to the polar bear, but not without making Sidney try to climb through the stingray tunnel. He wasn't going for it. "Here you go, you big baby!" I said leading him to the polar bears.
He just laughed and grabbed my hand. "They're so awesome, Rain! I love them." We went into the underwater tunnel and just our luck, the big guy went for a swim. We continued with the tour and made it out around one. Sidney of course bought me presents before we left; a little polar bear and a huge penguin.
"Now where?!" I asked skipping the car with my new stuffed animals.
"Well, have you ever been to Phipps Conservatory?"
"Nope, don't that I know of."
He smiled and opened my door, "Good, that's our next stop."

*Sid's POV*
I woke up to my phone buzzing. I hurried to leave the room so I didn't wake up Raina. "Hello?"
"Hey, Sid!" Emily spoke from the other line. "Just wondered when I could stop by today to get my charger."
Peeking out the kitchen to make sure Raina was still sleeping, I sighed, "I don't know. Not today. I told you yesterday I could drop it off to you."
"Why have you been funny lately? I kinda wanted to see you."
My stomach was flip flopping. The girl who walked out of my life was only so many feet away in another room and the other who I've been seeing on and off for the last four months on the phone. Emily treated me good, but I couldn't make a commitment to her. "Listen, Em, I'm sorry but today isn't good. I have a headache. Maybe tomorrow or something."
"Whatever, Sid."
"Don't get mad."
"I'm not. I'll be there tomorrow morning."
"Okay, I'll see you then." I barely got my words out before she hung up. I let out a huff and headed to the bathroom. I walked back into the living room and found Riana stretching. Even though her hair was a mess and had no makeup, I found her beautiful. Pretty sure there's a rap song about a girl with her hair up, without makeup on chilling. It fit her right now.
After she left the house I just flopped on the couch. I felt so lazy with the lockout. Lazy and confused at this point. Why couldn't women be simple?! I let out an angry groan and threw a pillow to the other couch.
Figuring I would just lay here all day and not do shit, I decided to give Marc a call and see if he wanted to hit the gym in my basement. He agreed and arrived shortly after.
"Did Vero know she was coming back?" I asked jogging with Marc next to me.
"Nope. I meant she knew she was in the area lately, but didn't know she was so close. They really haven't talked in the last six months."
"Damn," I sighed and slowed down a bit. "Is it bad I kind of forgot about Emily?"
Marc grinned, "Nope. It's because she's just there to occupy you. I mean you care about her, I can see that, but she's not for you. Don't let her go just yet though. Raina could fall off the face of the Earth." I just nodded. "You need to at least tell both women about each other. I think if Raina finds out first, that would be bad! Emily would be pissed, but not do too much. Just because she's not as close with all of us. She's still feeling things out."
"True, and I don't want things ruined for good if Raina and I can't work things out. I think everyone would go back and try to make things right with their loved one if given the chance."
"Take this chance, dude. You never know if you'll get another one."
He was right. This was my only chance to make shit work.
________________________________________________________
I called Emily to have her come over that night. I knew we needed to talk and let her in on what was going on. By her voice, she knew something wasn't right.
She came inside the house with a plate of brownies. "I brought your weakness," she grinned, kissing my cheek.
I smirked and set them down. Brownies without hockey games wasn't really what I needed. "Thanks, Em." She followed me into the kitchen and set down at the island as I stood on the other side. "So, what'd you do today," I asked, trying to avoid this much needed talk.
"Baked those for you, cleaned the house, helped Missy shop; not too much. You?" Emily was looking for answers with her eyes without saying much from her mouth. She was a beautiful girl and wonderful. So, it was making this much harder.
"Well, actually," I took a deep breath, "I hung out with a really good friend of mine. We had breakfast and all that."
"Oh yeah? Who's that?" she asked playing with her hair, something I noticed Raina do herself when she was nervous.
She knew of Raina and I knew if I said her name it would kill her. "Just an old friend from way back." Fuck, why did I have to be THAT guy.
"Oh, I see." She stood up and put her arms around my neck. "Let's watch a movie," she grinned.
I let out a chuckle, "Maybe you should just get your charger. I made plans to go out tomorrow and I wanna be well rested."
Emily cocked her head, dropping her arms. "You don't take me out much anymore. Why's that?"
"We just take things slow."
"Real slow," she said turning away and grabbing her purse. I just need to be up front.
"Emily," I grabbed her hand and turned her to face me. "Raina came back and I wanted to catch up." I could tell it hit her hard and I felt awful. "Don't be upset. I just want to see how she's been. We came a long way and if wouldn't feel right to pass this up. I'm sorry if you're mad but I just want you to understand. I'm telling you this now instead of letting you down and hurting you."
She couldn't look at me. "Just talk to me after your day. I understand." She gave me a kiss and walked out of the house without saying anything else. I just wanted to hit my head off of my wall at this point.
\\.::=TwentySix=::.//
"Morning, Sid," I turned to face him and grinned. It was a Sunday, which I had off. My two weekend days were Sunday and Monday.
"Want breakfast?" he asked with a hand on my hip.
"What time is it?" I yawned.
Sid looked over me to check the clock. "Almost eight."
I hated being so used to waking up early. "Can we go out for breakfast," I grinned, knowing I probably wasn't as attractive as he was making me feel. I didn't even have the chance to wash my makeup off of my face.
"Eat'n Park?" he questioned with a huge smile. "I hate cooking."
"Prefect! I love their muffins." I then remembered I didn't even have clothes on and I wasn't going to dare to wear the same outfit from last night to breakfast. "Uh, could you do me a favor?" I grinned.
"Hmh?" he hummed with an eyebrow lifted.
"Get a pair of yoga pants from my car? They're in my backseat. They're the only pair. And there's a plain black shirt, too."
"Sure, do you need a hoodie? It's gonna be cold today." He stood up and I just took in the sight of his amazing sculpted body. I just nodded and he put his boxers on to leave the room.
"Feel free to get ready. There's the bathroom," he point across the room. I went in to the backroom and took a fast shower as he left. I brought my purse with me to do light makeup and pulled my hair on top of my head. I walked out of the bathroom and saw Sidney freshly showered with a shirt on. "You had like six pairs of pants in there and about eight pairs of shoes!" he said, a little in shock.
"And you used to carry dress suits in your car, so I don't wanna hear shit, Crosby," I said snatching my pants from him. I grabbed the hoodie on his bed and changed in the bathroom. I felt like with his shirt off and me still naked, breakfast might not happen. I knew I was disappointing his wondering eyes. I brushed my teeth with a travel brush I kept with me and was ready to head out. I walked out and saw Sidney in jeans, running shoes, and a long sleeve shirt. "Ready?" I asked standing in front of him.
http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=85844451
"Yup," he said standing up and planting a kiss on my lips.
I knew I was smiling like a fool. I walked down the steps with him following me.
"Damn, that ass is not the same as four years ago," he said as I got to the bottom and realized he was checking me out.
"Sidney!" I said pretending to hit him. "You pig!"
"Hey! Now I have competition! That's all," he joked, opening up the door for me.
"I'm sure!"
He drove me the closest Eat'n Park and we pretty much went right to work. I forgot how weird it was to be with him in public. So many eyes were on us and whispering. A few times a kid would go to the buffet to talk to him. It took a little longer than usual to eat. I felt bad I drug him out.
We finally finished and got to the car. "I'm sorry, I forgot how annoying it is for you to eat out."
He shrugged it off. "Don't be. It's my life. You're the one that needs to be okay with it."
"True." I stared out of the window, realizing how tired I still was. "It's an ugly day," I said with my head against the window.
He turned onto his street and nodded, "Yeah, I hope winter isn't too bad. It just makes this lockout even longer. I just hope we have a season this year."
"I wouldn't look at it so negative. Take some time to visit family and take a trip! You ever go anywhere nice?" I asked as we arrived at his home.
"Eh," he sat there and pondered. "Nothing that didn't involved a hockey trip."
"That's your issue, dear," I said helping myself out of the car. We headed towards the door. "You need to go away and see the world!"
"Maybe if I had a good looking girl to take, I would consider. Although the one I have in mind has a career now!" I blushed. "Honestly, I'm so proud of you Raina. You turned yourself around. It's like you're a totally different person sometimes, but I still see the old you. You still draw me to you."
We were in front of his living room now and I just stood there with my arms crossed, biting my lip. "Thanks, Sid. Same can be said to you." I smiled and gave him a small kiss. "But really, I have two whole vacation weeks I can take and we and go somewhere! Maybe just for a few days. I wanted to save a week for after Christmas."
"Let's see what happens," he said sitting down on the couch. I kinda felt stupid thinking so far ahead. I needed to just relax and let things happen.
________________________________________________________
We laid on the couch with our full bellies and we doze off here and there watching TV. I woke up around 12 and saw Sid's side of the couch empty. I could hear his voice in the kitchen and I followed it. He was on the phone and I started to walk back until something caught my attention.
"Listen, Em, I'm sorry but today isn't good. I have a headache. Maybe tomorrow or something... Don't get mad... Okay, I'll see you then."
I hurried to the couch to pretend I just woke up. He didn't come in right away. I was starting to wonder. I couldn't get mad. We didn't ask if we were seeing anyone and it has been a long time. I just up and left him. No need to stop the world for a girl who didn't stick around long enough to try to work things out, but we needed to grow up first. I just tried to justify myself.
Sid walked in the room and gave me a half smile, "How was your nap?"
I felt kinda sick at that point. "Good, but I think I'm gonna head home. I need to do somethings around the place with my day off so I can enjoy tomorrow."
He sighed and put his hands in his pockets. "Well," he paused for a second, "want to hang out tomorrow? We can go to the city and do tourist things? I don't really get to see much and it might be nice for us."
It made that sick feeling go away. "Sure!" I stood up and grabbed my belongings I set by the door. "Just text me later with what time and all that."
"I gladly will," he said opening the door and kissing my cheek. "See ya, Raina."
"Bye, Sid." The drive home was bitter sweet. Who was Em and why didn't Sidney want to see her today? What if she comes by after I leave? If he didn't want me around, he wouldn't of invited me out tomorrow, right?

_____________________________________
I took a final look at my outfit in the mirror.
http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=85715997
I was please and headed out of my apartment. I got inside of my Rover and headed to Sidney's. I drove up his long drive way and parked in front of the house. His drive way warped around and had another part, that I assumed was a garage. I got out and walked to the door. I felt over dressed, but I wanted to show Sidney the new side of me. I was ready to take over the fashion world and take chances. I took a deep breath and rang his door bell. He opened the door rather quickly.
A smile grew on his face from ear to ear, as butterflies took over my stomach. "Come inside!" he said leading me in. I looked around his home and felt warm. It was very clean for a boy living here. Then again I'm sure he pays someone to clean it more than once a week. "Sit down in the living room, there. I'm gonna finish getting ready." He was only in shorts and a tee shirt. It made me hope he didn't plan on just eating here or some where casual and then have to change because of me.
I looked around at his home and kind of wondered off beyond the living room. His kitchen led to the back yard, which was huge. He didn't have a pool, which I could understand why. He went home for the summer and wouldn't need one here. I walked outback, which was dark already, and an automatic light came on. He had a nice set up with a grill and bar with a big table and chairs. I felt nosy but I couldn't help it. I loved looking around houses.
The night air was amazing and I felt so at peace. Sid's home was definitely somewhere I felt comfortable. I heard the door behind me open up and I quickly turned and smiled. "Sorry, I couldn't resist," I laughed.
Sidney was dressed in dress pants and a black dress shirt. It was simple, but very handsome. He changed so much in just a few years. "It's alright," he said, smiling, and shut the door behind him. "I love just sitting out here at night and enjoying the weather. I love just being in silence." I turned to look at the back yard and felt his arms snake around my waist. "We could just stay here all night, but I'm starving!"
I broke out in a laughter and sighed, "Let's get some food for that belly!" I poked him in his toned stomach and made him giggle. He drove me into Pittsburgh and took me to Casbah in Shadyside. We sat outside since it was still warm out. "This is beautiful," I said taking in my surroundings.
"I was hoping you'd like it," he said taking his menu and looking over the options. "You like Chardonnay?" he asked peering over his menu.
"I don't drink much, but sure. I'll have a taste!" I ordered grilled swordfish, only by Sidney practically ordering for me. I hated spending so much on dinner. I always put money away for a house, since I was almost finished paying off my car. I worked very hard to own everything I did. Our dinner was wonderful and I was feeling pretty good from the wine. I was extra flirty, along with Sidney. He was touching my leg from under the table and told me I was beautiful about 6 times since we sat down. I didn't mind though. I told him a little about getting into beauty school and the work I did. He bitched about the lockout, which I understood completely. I would be so lost if I couldn't go to my job every day.
"We must have dessert," he said reviewing the menu again. "Chocolate cheesecake?" he asked biting his lip.
"I surely hope that was an answer and not a question! Bring that our way!" I exclaimed. We finally finished up and walked to the car. He opened my door me before I got in. We drove back to his house listening to Pandora and rapping to the most gangster songs we could find.
We reached his house and he ran to my side to open my door. I got out and started to walk to my car. "It was a lovely night," I said looking at my feet, to shy to look at him. He just made me smile like an idiot.
"Me too," he said with his hands in his pockets. I feel like he was stumbling over his words and didn't really catch what I said. I just let out a giggle. He then took his hands out of his pocket and pressed me against the car. His lips crashed onto mine and his body on top of me. "Stay with me," he mumbled into my ear. I looked at him and couldn't say no. Either my mind couldn't or the wine couldn't. But I wasn't fighting it. I agreed and followed him inside the house leaving my purse and shoes at the front door. I didn't work in the morning so I knew I had nothing to worry about. I followed him up the steps into his master bedroom. He didn't bother to turn the lights on and shut the door. All we had was the moon lighting up the room. My eyes adjusted to the dark and was swiftly picked up. I wrapped my legs around his waist and he laid me on top of the bed. Our lips were hungry for each other. From forgetting how to kiss the day before, I felt like it was a body I knew my way around perfectly. We slowly undressed each other and he hovered over top of me.
This wasn't a drunk decision at this point. I wanted Sidney more than anything. After letting my heart go from everything I experienced, I knew this was the bed I belonged in.

\\.::=TwentyFour=::.//
"Hey," I said shuffling my feet. The last player, Kris, got up and walked away awkwardly.
"You know her, Sid" Kris asked.
"I did," he said not leaving his eyes from me. I could tell the other guy didn't want part of this and walked away, into the hall way. The rest of the remaining help and players exited as well. The last one out, James, shut the door. They must of knew Sidney meant business.
"How have you been?" I asked trying to clean my mess up a little bit, so I had something other to look at besides Sidney. I felt as if you could see my heart beating through my shirt.
"Busy, you?" he said setting a few papers down and sitting in the chair for me to work on him.
"Same." I was very short and started to feel myself sweat. This was just just an asshole move by fate, once again.
"Haven't seen you around in a while. Since you broke up with me." I knew he was trying to get to me.
I clenched my power brush and stared him right in the eye. "Well, sorry I went to get my shit together while you took the last four years to grow the fuck up," I spat.
"You know what, fuck it. I don't need this shit to look good," he said standing up and pushing past me. He went to open the door as I let out a small yelp. I could feel my body just wanting to hit the floor. I knew this was happening for a reason; to make things right. Sidney stopped and stood there for a moment before dropping his shoulders and sighing. "Why did it take so long for us to come back together?" he asked, putting his hands in his pocket.
He turned to face me as I plopped into the chair. "I guess we both needed some growing up to do." I rolled my makeup brush around my hand in small circles. "I'm sorry I had to leave the way I did, but it was in my heart."
"I'm happy you did. It made me realize there's more to life than just hockey and fame." He pulled a chair in front of me and sat down. He took my small hands into his. "I'm sorry I pushed you away. I could of made it right the first time." I didn't know what to say. I slightly made an ass out of myself. I was pretty good at running away from my problems. "What if we're too different now?"
I looked up at him with warm tears and my stomach filled with butterflies. I was never so happy, nervous, scared, and pissed all at once. "Let's find out," I said leaning in and kissing him. It was the first time I took matter into my own hands, and by that was pretty much Sidney's face. Our lips touched and felt like a puzzle piece fitting perfectly. A surge went through my whole body. I wasn't thinking much, but I felt like I totally forgot how to move my body and even kiss like a normal person. I thought I was probably putting my tongue down his throat. He didn't stop though. He just kept kissing me and felt his hand hold my face and the other grasp my hair.
There was a knock and the door opened to interrupt us. "Uh, sorry. We just need to hurry, Sid," said one of his teammates.
"No Problem. Sorry," he said scratching the back of his neck. The player shut the door and I felt my face hot. I knew I was blushing as bad as Sidney. "Let's get me flawless and rock this commercial," he laughed.
I finished up Sid and cleaned up while he headed down the hall. I needed to go with him just to make sure no touch ups were needed. I hurried down there, mostly just so I could be around Sidney. "Raina!" a female called out. I turned to see Vero. "Oh my god! I can't believe it's you! What are you doing here?!"
I could only smile and give her a hug. "I could say the same about you, where's Marc?"
He's in Canada visiting family. I came to get my wallet I left in Geno's car last night after we dropped Marc off at the airport. But what the hell! You in the same room as Sid?!" she said just above a whisper.
I chuckled, thinking it was a crazy situation. "I'm not sure. I came to do makeup for a commercial and it ended up to be a bunch of sweaty hockey men!" I filled her in on the last few experiences of the last year. We spoke but mostly around holidays and birthdays.
"I still am in shock, but I'm so happy, honestly. I'm really hoping this is the time, you know?"
"Trust me, I know. I do as well," I said just staring at Sidney from across the room. It's true when they say in a room full of people a smile can light up the room. His did just that. The two hours went fast and we were free to go home. Veronica left earlier and made sure to go have lunch this week on my day off. I headed to my car with all of my stuff when I noticed foot steps behind me.
"I got it!" Sid said grabbing my suitcase. "Lead the way!"
I smiled, "Thanks! You didn't have to."
"If I want to make you agree to a date, yes. I had to." I just laughed it off and led him to my Range Rover. "Copy cat!" he said as I opened my hatch.
"Hey! You can't be the only one in style!" I set some of my bags inside and Sidney lifted in my suitcase. "So, when are you asking me to dinner?" I asked shutting the hatch.
"Ohhh, this girl means business!" he grinned, pulling me into him. "Tonight, meet me at my house. And if you don't still have my number, don't bother at all!"
"Sid!" I said slapping him. "Text me it, I know it's because you deleted mine!"
He was busted. "Okay, okay." He pulled out his phone and had me put in my number, which was different over the years. "I'll text you directions and see you at six." He kissed my cheek making my blush. "Bye, Raina."
"Bye, Sid."
\\.::=TwentyThree=::.//
http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=85674872
I walked into the building and took direction from the girl at the front desk. I went up in an elevator and down through a few halls before finding the dressing room. I opened it up and struggled inside with my makeup suitcase. I always brought everything with me on a job.
"Oh, miss, let me help you," a man came over and helped grab my bags.
"Thanks!" I smiled. He was very attractive and muscular. He had a tint of red in his facial hair and a beautiful smile. I feel for smiles. "This is the only down fall of my job, honestly," I laughed, making conversation.
He smiled, "Really? I would think making ugly people look beautiful would be harder than that. Fuck my job, I'm becoming a hair dresser!" He threw his arms in the air and make me laugh. "Hey guys! The makeup girl is here to make us attractive beasts!" he shouted into the other room. "I'm James Neal, by the way."
"Raina," I said shaking his hand. "Pleasure to meet you."
"Beautiful name!" he said as a few men walked into the room. I then noticed a few more guys.
Fuck, I'm doing a commercial for the Penguins. Malkin was the only really familiar face I knew. I didn't see Sid or Flower, so that was a sigh of relief. "I'm going to start on you guys now. It shouldn't take more than 15 minutes. I know they're about ready to start shooting you guys. I want to make this as painless as possible for you all," I joked. I loved doing guys makeup for things like this. They always giggled as you put powder on them.
A few guys asked me questions about a boyfriend and where I was from. "Well, I'm from the area. I moved around a bit. I just got out of a long relationship. I'm trying to get past it," I said reflecting on the last almost three years. I did date after Sidney just to tickle the sting of loneliness, but it became much more than that. It was as if I was practicing on how to love a person again.
Three years ago
I was meeting a friend of Lily's she was hooking me up with. It was a while since I broke things off with Sid and I just finished with beauty school. The boys name was Travis. From what he sounded like, he wasn't the jock type. He played a few sports growing up, but went to school for engineering and worked for his family on the weekends and summer. It was Christmas time and the malls were busy, but we decided to meet up there and see a movie.
I saw a boy that fit his description and led myself towards him. "Travis?" I asked, now standing in front of his table.
"Hey! Yeah, that's me! Raina, right?"
"Yup, hope you weren't meeting any other girl here!" I laughed.
"Nope! Just one beautiful blonde is all!" His smile was enough to knock me off of my feet. That was the start of a train wreck.
Travis and I fell fast. I moved quickly with him, from sex to us talking about marriage. He made me take a slight backseat to starting my career. We only dated for about ten months before things were cut short. We practically hated one another at one point. We would always talk to our friends to get back at one another. He always treated me like shit, I was a puppet to him. I was wanting love so badly, I just accepted it. His life was falling apart and I was breaking with him. Finally, I had to end things after over two years. It was draining and I needed to get back on track. We just stopped speaking once I found out he had another girl on the side. We never talked it out. I just blocked his number and went my own way. I built my business and became very successful in six months. It was the best choice of my life.
I was brought back to reality. I sighed and noticed I was just about finished, but heard another voice coming down the hall. "I'll be there!" The voice turned the corner and into the room. "Sorry, I'm late! I had an interview."
My body froze. I knew that wondering voice. Sidney Crosby. I finished the last player I had and turned around. Sidney wouldn't of recognized me from behind, with longer, curled hair and a more mature body. I looked at him dead in the eyes and we both froze.
A Small Recap
Raina was in high school when her boyfriend he was engaged to was shot and killed by his brother's friend over drugs his brother, Kenny, was addicted to. After a few years, Raina became a day teacher and took her kids to a Penguin practice where she met Sidney trying to help her set up for the event the night before. He gave her two tickets to the game during practice. She slowly let him in her heart and let him see what she went through and why she wore her ring still. Justin left her a note to find love, but she felt trapped in her 17 year mind.
Justin's brother and friend were convicted for murder and Raina moved to Canada to spend time away from Pittsburgh to feel safe until Sidney sprained his ankle. She ran home to carter to him, but over the few months, he became frustrated and took it out on her. After he lost the Red Wings, they became distant and he broke things off with him.
You can read the last new chapter, 22, and tell me what you think. Part of the summery included the new chapter. Please tell me what you think!!

_____________________________________________________________
It seemed like the longest weeks of my life helping Sidney recover. I was back to feeling safe and felt a little silly for running from my problems. All of my belongs were sent back home. Milly and I practically lived at Mario's with Sidney. He tried to return to hockey, but after two games, he realized he wasn't ready to return. He quickly got back into the grove once he was fully healed, and entered the playoffs. We had extremely high hopes to end the post season, but fell short in game six against the Red Wings. Sidney wasn't a pleasure to be around for the next month.
We were fighting pretty bad and I decided it was time for me to leave for a little and spend time with my real family. With Sidney supporting me, I didn't have a job anymore, and I felt dependent. I needed to get back to having my own life. I headed outside of the city, near Canonsburg. I spent a good few weeks with aunts and uncles, catching up on life and went back to my foster family. Sidney headed back to Nova Scotia. I hated the feeling of emptiness. I felt like we barely talked.
Maybe this all happened to fast. Falling in love and moving in together always seems to be a disaster when you jump right into it. I decided it was time to visit an old loved one; Justin. I rode to the cemetery alone in silence. I stopped the car and walked to his headstone. It was a beautiful day to spend with him. I brought my favorite flowers he used to surprise me with.
I sat down and ran my fingers over his name. "It's been a long time," I sighed. I swore I felt a hand on my shoulder. "I just feel so lost, Justin. You wanted me to find love, but why is it so hard for me?" Warm tears filled my eyes. "I just need to know if you're truly ready for me to move on and be happy again. There is so much hate inside of me." In the corner on my eye, I saw a baby bird in a tree with his family. "Lets make a deal!" I grinned. Justin and I were all about fate and see if things were really meant to be. "If that baby bird flies, I'm moving on. But if not, it's just not my time." I could just see Justin laughing and saying, "Okay, we'll see."
I stared and sighed. The bird looked just like me, pathetic! I just felt like today wasn't the little guys day. I sat there until the sun was too hot for me to bare. "Well, looks like it's not my time," I said standing up and blew Justin a kiss.
I knew I had to break things off with Sidney. It just wasn't my time to be committed to him when my heart still wasn't fully healed. I reminded myself, I could love again, but not just yet.
__________________________________________________________
It was very painful with Sidney. I flew to his home that summer to tell him I needed to catch back up in my own life and let him handle his first big lose alone. I needed to find who I was again and become my own person once again.
Years went by, the Penguins won the cup and Sidney seemed to be on top of the world. I was so happy for him. It was bittersweet I wasn't there to enjoy the win with him. I was in touch with him before the playoffs, but we slowly fell apart again. I went to school to become a hairdresser and makeup artist. My interest changed a lot over the years. I loved kids, but I just needed something to bring me away from my teen years and Justin. A lot even reminded me of Sidney.
The year 2012 was very difficult for Sidney. I watched him suffer his concussion and knew he was struggling. The season coming up was rough. There would be a lock out and Sidney would have too much free time and being torn away from his life. I on the other hand, was working in a huge salon a little outside of Pittsburgh. I did makeup and hair for many magazines and commercials. I felt like I truly found my calling. I was so happy again. It was like I had a new life. Vero was one of the few friends I kept from the team. I would hear from Colby here and there from his new team and even Max. I would call him a trader just about every time we spoke. I couldn't believe how much had changed since I broke things off with Sidney.
Four years went by and it just felt like a blur. I had my own house, beautiful SUV, my business was fantastic. I just felt ready to settle down. With Sidney? Well, if I was in the same boat this time in 2008, of course. I just had to except that part of my life is over.
That fall I went to visit Justin. It had been a good while since I had. I looked up and saw another little nest close to before. "That's weird, birds shouldn't be having babies this time of the year," I thought out loud. I stood up and saw a baby trying to fly. "Justin, stop doing this to," I muttered. Just then the baby took off. I smiled and felt myself free. "If you're a bird I'm a bird!" I laughed. "I'm sorry, baby, but it's time for me to move on." I had my ring on my finger and knew it was time to leave it behind. I moved the flowers I brought to his grave and drug a good size hole, and buried my ring inside a small box I found in my car. "I will always love you. Thank you letting me free."
This was my time to finally live my life like I never had before.

"Hey, baby. You make it to my family's alright?" he asked.
"I sure did, thanks. I was worried you forgot all about me!" I did wish he called sooner.
"I'm really sorry, babe. We were packed tight with interviews. If would of texted you it would of took an hour just to send it."
"It's fine, no worries," I laughed. "I just went out to eat with your family and now we're heading back to watch you game."
"Are they driving you nuts yet?"
"Sid! No way!" I laughed. "They're extremely sweet."
"They can be," he chuckled.
"Well, we're heading back to the house now, and I know you're getting ready for your game."
"Yeah, we'll be back in Pittsburgh soon, so I'll have more time to talk to my girl," I could hear him smiling on the other line. "But you're right I better go. Tell my family I love them and I'll be calling tonight."
"Sounds good. Good luck! I love you!"
"Thanks, baby. I love you too!" We hung up and stared at my phone with a smile.
"Sidney have anything good to say?" Taylor asked smiling as we reached the car.
"Just that he loves you guys and he'll call after the game." The car ride home was quiet and we reached the house shortly. I changed out of my cloths into something more comfortable.
I sat down in the living room where Trina had chocolate cake laying out for us. This lady just knows what I love. "Raina, you like cake?"
"Love it!" I laughed. I was handed a piece and sat down next to Taylor. I could love these few months in Canada.
The next days past and I did go shopping for Canadian clothes, so I wouldn't freeze to death. Sidney was back in Pittsburgh and had a game against the Lightening. I adored Sidney's family and household. I was actually afraid to leave it!
We were sitting around watching the game that night when it happened; Sidney slid straight into the boards, and skated off of the ice. I believe the whole room and Pittsburgh teared up. I couldn't grab my phone fast enough to send a text to Sidney saying call me as soon as he could find out what happened, because I just knew that was more than a bad fall.
The whole night the Crosby household was silent and you could a pin drop. Troy ended up locking himself in the room, Taylor was silently on her computer and Trina was on the phone with Sidney's grandmother. I ran in his room when my phone went off. I about jumped out of my skin.
"Hello?" I said out of breath.
"Hey, babe," Sid said quietly. "They're thinking it's a high ankle sprain." I let out a huge sigh and felt like crying. It was hard not being there with him.
"When will you find out for sure?"
"In the morning. How's my family taking it?"
"Well, your dad became a hermit, Taylor's just worried and your mom has been making a million phone calls."
"She called me about 34 times. I just wanted to talk to you before anyone."
I smiled, "Thanks, Sid. Well, you make you're trillion phone calls and I'll be going to sleep soon. Call if you need anything."
"Will do sweetheart. I love you," he said putting a huge smile on my face.
"I love you too."
"Oh, and one more thing. Just tell my mom I'll call her tomorrow morning because I have press and everything."
"Will do. Good night, babe."
"Good night, beautiful." I hung up and smiled. I threw one of Sidney's old high school hoodies and walked out into the kitchen.
Trina looked at me and knew I had to talk to her. I sat down at the kitchen table and picked up an apple that was sitting in a fruit bowel in the middle of the table.
She said her good byes and stared at me. "Did Sidney call you?" she asked with huge eyes. I nodded. "What did he say?" she asked sitting down across from me.
"They think it's an high ankle sprain."
"Oh, God. Not Sidney, too," she said holding her face in her hands.
I looked down at the apple and felt empty. "I think I'm going to fly down there tomorrow morning to be with him. He can't be alone."
"Honey, you don't need to do that," Trina said.
"Just for a few days. I'll stay in Mario's and help out. I know he needs someone."
"You really are a doll," she smiled. "I'll help you book your flight. Get some sleep and I'll talk to Troy. I'm sure he'll call me late tonight."
"Thanks a lot, Trina." I gave her a hug and headed back to Sidney's room. Before I did I stopped past Taylor's room and gave it a light knock.
"Come in," she called. I let myself in and she pushed back her laptop. "Hey," she said softly.
"Sid called," I said sitting next to her on the bed. "They think it's a high ankle sprain. I'm going out tomorrow to help him out for a few days."
"Are you sure?" she asked worried. "Raina, I don't think you should be back in Pittsburgh..." Taylor said with huge eyes.
"I'll get through all right. I'm going straight to Mario's and I'll have everything waiting for me when I get there."
She smiled and hugged me. "I hope he's alright and you'll be okay. Wake me up to go with you tomorrow."
"I will, Tay. Good night."
"Night," she called back and I headed to Sidney's room to get a good sleep before the morning.
Trina woke me up at 5:15 to get a shower and get ready for my flight. I jumped in the shower and hurried to get ready. I definitely wanted to look good for surprising Sidney. I straightened my hair and put on light make up.
http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=26714837
I made sure I woke up Taylor and she popped out of bed and just threw on her coat and boots. Trina drove me to the airport in silence. "Thank's a lot for doing this," I said breaking the silence.
"No problem, sweetheart! Sidney does need someone. He was saying how much he missed you last night. I've just been a mess. You know me," she glanced over and laughed.
"She's a nut!" Taylor said making us laugh. Trina dropped me off at the airport giving me tons of instructions for when I got to Pittsburgh. I hugged her and Taylor and headed towards my flight.
I stepped onto the door step of the Lemieux's household. I rang the door bell and was greeted by Mario himself. "Raina!" he said surprised. "What are you doing here?"
"I'm here to help Sid out," I smiled. "But shhh!"
Mario gave me his famous smile, "He's in his room getting ready for the doctor's and a press meeting." I nodded and headed to his room.
I opened the door and heard him in the bathroom. I smiled and rushed in and hugged him. "Holy shit!" he said giving his famous laugh hugging me back and kissing me.
"Not too rough," I said releasing the hug, "can't hurt the ankle anymore!"
Sidney sighed, "Yeah, it's driving me crazy. I'm probably gonna have to get a boot and shit." He looked at me again and kissed me. "And why the hell are you back?!"
"You needed a nurse!" I laughed. He roughed up my hair and kissed my cheek and finished getting ready. His manager was at the house to pick him up and I followed him into the SUV. After waiting for the doctor, Sidney got the news it was definitely a high ankle sprain. He got his boot and we headed to the press meeting to inform the NHL world Sidney Crosby would be out for weeks.
We headed home after getting Starbucks to lighten the mood. "Let's lay around and watch Friends," I smiled up at him and kissed him.
He smiled at the idea, "You know me well, Raina." We got home and did just that.

I whipped them away and whispered, "Don't cry. I'll be okay with your family... Right?"
He nodded smiling, "I just want to be there with you, knowing you're safe with me as well. If there's any point in time you need me there with you, I'm a phone call away. I don't want you forgetting that."
"Thank you, Sidney; for everything."
"Anytime, Raina." He leaned in and gave me a deep kiss and held my hand as I walked away till our arms ran out of length. I boarded the plane after blowing him a kiss and trying to hold back tears. I knew this was for the best; everything Sidney does for me is for the best.
The flight to Canada seemed so fast, I barely had time to think about what I was going to do when I got there for the next so many months. The plane landed and I had to search for my bags and find Trina Crosby. After grabbing my stuff, I looked around the small airport. It was a cute, quiet town, which I loved! It was nothing like big, busy Pittsburgh. Everyone seemed helpful, cheerful and caring. Pittsburgh, everyone's in a hurry to get where they need to go, but some still find a moment to help you out. This just had a fresher energy. God, I love Canada already! I thought.
I spotted Sidney's mom waving me down and I instantly smiled. Taylor was with them and I hurried to get in reach of them. I hugged them both and they helped my with my luggage. "How was the flight, dear?" Trina asked leading me outside to the freezing cold air. Winter was definitely something I over looked.
"It was fast, probably because I was so nervous to get here."
"No need to be nervous, you're in good hands! Sidney filled us all in and we're here to take care of you," she said sweetly.
"Yeah, and finally I'll have a big sister to take me shopping when mom wont!" Taylor said smiling.
"No, she wont do that, Taylor. Raina's here for help from us!"
"I'll see what I can do," I winked to Taylor. "I'm definitely gonna need help finding warm clothes for winter tomorrow!"
"Have you ever came to Canada for winter?" Trina asked helping me load the car.
"Nope! Poor Millie's gonna need a coat herself! I said hold her cage, knowing she had enough fur on her to walk in Alaska on it's coldest days. We pulled up to Sidney's parents house and as we walked in, his dog ran up to me sniffing me all over.
"Yeah, she's friendly. Millie and her will be friends," Trina laughed. I let out Millie so they could be introduced to each other.
Troy was sitting on the couch and got up to shake my hand as I walked farther in the house. "Nice to see you made it here safely. Flight alright?"
"Yup, just seemed really fast." If one more person asked that, I was gonna go crazy.
"Well, Taylor can show you Sidney's old room and you can stay in there. Maybe you'll feel more comfortable," Troy said smiling.
"Thank you," I said with a chuckle. I was already feeling better.
Taylor led me down a hallway and open the second door on the right. "Here you are!" I walked inside and saw the tons of awards Sid collected. "He's supposed to get all his crap moved out by now, but he's taking forever!" she said with a huff, which made me laugh.
I was just amazed to think of the position I was in. I couldn't of been more blessed, ending up with such a great, wonderful guy to help me out like this. I looked over at a picture of Sidney holding his baby sister after she was just born. It made me smile, thinking back to my brother and parents.
I held back tears and turned around to see Taylor sitting on the bed, "He still looks the same!" she said, making me laugh.
"He sure does!" Trina walked into the room and set down my bags. "Oh, my! I could of gotten them!"
"No, dear," she smiled. "It's fine, you're having a crazy day. I was just wanted to let you know, we're going out to eat in about an hour and make it back in time to watch the game."
"Oh, okay. Thank you," I smiled. "I'm gonna call my parents. I let them know last night what was going on and knowing them, they're freaking out right now."
"Taylor, help me clean up before we leave," Trina told her, meaning, we'll give Raina space.
I scrolled through my contracts till I found my parent's number. "Raina!" she said excitedly into the phone. "Are you in Canada?!"
"Don't give me a, 'Hello' or anything. Yes, I am." I said laughing and sitting on Sidney's bed.
"Oh, thank God! I take it as the flight went well. Sidney's parents have you settled in?"
"Yeah," I smiled, "we're going out to eat in a little."
I knew my mom was smiling on the other end, "Well, I'm glad. I must say, you lucked out finding yourself a boy like Sidney! I'm just happy you're safe and out of Pittsburgh. I'm sure in about a few months, everything will be blown over. I talked to Justin's mom and she said Kenny's phone calls will be monitored and his visits."
"Thank's good..." I just stared at the floor with the thought of Kenny's cold face in the court room. I felt like throwing up.
"Well, no worries about this non-sense, dear. You want to talk to dad?"
"No, just let him know I'm safe and that in about two weeks I'll be in Sidney's summer house. I'm gonna get ready to eat."
"Sounds good. I love you!"
"I love you, too, mom." I hung up and got to to go into the bathroom and fix myself up. "Uh, Trina," I said finding her in the living room, "Where's the bathroom?" I felt stupid asking.
"Oh, dear! I forgot to give you a whole tour! Follow me," she led me down the hall and to the right. "Here you go," she flicked on the light. "As soon as you're done, let me know and I'll show you the rest before we leave," she smiled. God, did she remind me of my real mom in so many ways.
I washed my face and applied makeup. I changed into a dressy but casual outfit.
http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=26368959
I walked out of the bathroom and Trina smiled, "Our son picks beautiful women, right, Troy?" Troy just nodded as he finished reading the newspaper. "Let me show the rest of the place to you," she smiled and took me down the hall. This is my bedroom and right across is Taylor's. She took me farther and pointed out a guest room. "You can stay in here, but I figured you'd rather be closer to Sidney," she said smiling.
"You know me too well," I laughed.
She showed me the other bathroom and kitchen witch all circled back to the living room. "This is the good part!" She got all excited and opened the basement door leading me down. This is where Sid grew up playing hockey and here's the dyer," she smiled running her hand across it. "I'm sure you know all about that story."
"Yup, Sid filled me in," I smiled. She showed me a few more things around the house till Troy and Taylor were ready to leave. They took me to a small restaurant that had the greatest! Before the food arrived, Troy asked about where I grew up.
"Well, I lived in PA till I was four and we moved to Chicago for a year and then I was sent to Pittsburgh and stayed in a smaller town when I was ten."
"You were sent there?" Troy asked me in a weird tone.
That filled me in Sidney didn't mention my life story. Which I was kinda of thankful for. "I was a foster child, my parents and brother died in a car accident when I was four and my grandmother put me in a foster home. I wasn't adopted till I was ten.
"Oh, I'm so sorry, Raina," Troy said. "I didn't mean to make you bring that out of you."
I smiled, "It's fine! I don't mind telling it anymore."
"You must of really had it hard, sweetie," Trina said, holding back tears and reaching across the table to pat my hand.
"It's fine," I smiled. I have really great people in my life to keep my head up. Sidney does a great job at it and I couldn't be more thankful for meeting him. Justin wouldn't want anything less for me."
"Sidney did mention Justin to us," Troy said with a serious face.
"Yeah, but I lucked out finding a person like Sidney. No one could pull me into the outside world like him. I'm so thankful," I said with a huge smile.
"We couldn't be more pleased he found such a wonderful, independent woman like you, Raina," Troy said, which really surprised me.
I might have found the one.

"This hot chocolate is the best ever!" Vero said as she got back with her 12th cup. I just laughed and shook my head. "I'm serious! I got you another!"
"I'm still on my last one you got me!" holding up my only half empty cup.
"It's okay, you can handle it," she smiled. "So, are you going to hearing?" she asked quietly.
I looked down and shuffled in my seat a bit. "I'm not sure," I said shrugging. "I'm worried what will happen if I do." I filled her in about everything, since she was the closest girl to me from the team's girlfriends.
"Yeah, well you do what you think is best. I'm sure whatever happens, Sidney will be there for you to back you up," she said smiling.
"I sure hope so," I said as the team went into shoot out. "Oh god," I said under my breath. "I'm so nervous!"
"I'd be really freaking out if Marc was in net! I'm sure Sidney will be the super star!" she said nugging me with a huge smile.
And as Vero said, Sidney took the ice, sweeping the puck right into the net. It was perfect; the poster boy of the NHL made the game a fairy tail. I was so excited to see him after the game and wanted to rush into the locker room to congratulate him.
It definitely took a while for him to come out of the locker room with interviews and all, but I waited with Vero on the bus. The guys finally filled on and I jumped on Sidney kissing him. "You were amazing!" I said grinning. "All of you did great!"
Days flew by and before I knew it, the hearing was the next day. Sidney had morning skate and luckily he was in town. He slept holding me tight, but I couldn't even blink. I just cried quietly. I only slept for about two hours before Sidney's phone went off to get ready to leave. He turned it off and kissed my head before heading to the shower. I really thought throughly what to do. Sidney came out and got dressed trying to be as silent as possible to think I was sleeping.
He kissed my head again whispering, "See you later, babe."
It was about 9:30 when I stepped out of my car and walked over to the court house in Pittsburgh. My heels clicked against the ground and I held my pea coat tight to my body. I stepped inside fixing my curly hair and was searched to be allowed inside.
Justin's mom turned around and instantly cried seeing me. "Raina!" she said running over to me and hugged me tightly. "I didn't think you would be here! Thank you so much," she cried.
"I couldn't ditch the people I love the most," I said smiling.
"Justin's smiling away up there," she said with bright eyes. "You ready for this?"
"As ready as I'll ever be," I said nervously. I felt sick and wanted to run for the door, but I had to be there for the Lane's. We took our seats quickly and the hearing was soon on it's way. Then, Kenny was brought in. I was tearing up, fearing for what would happen.
During the hearing, I was called up for being a witness. Kenny stared me down as I sat in the chair facing the room. I chocked up and everything asked to me wasn't processing. I just starting sobbing and pointing my finger at Kenny. "You know you killed your brother!" I screamed. "How could you? Just because you two had differences doesn't mean you should kill him!"
"Didn't I tell you if you came, I'd have you taken care?" he hissed.
I sobbed more, trying to catch my breath. "You really are an evil person, Kenny. You shot him all because you wanted to be with me and have his life. You could of been like him, but you turned to drugs! You're a bad, bad person, Kenny. You deserve to rot in hell and never speak to another soul. I don't see how anyone could love you for all you've done. Honestly, you shouldn't die, because you need to realize what you've done, but it'll never happen!"
The court was trying to quiet me down, but it was impossible. "He did it! He killed Justin! He told me he'd kill me too if I came today, but I don't care! Justin's family deserves peace knowing for sure what happened. I've been quietly for too long." I was justed sitting there with tears everywhere and make up all down my face. I told the room the whole story that night and had to leave the room before I had another out burst.
I stayed outside for the rest of the hearing. Justin's mom came out and ran to me hugging me. "I know how hard that was for you, sweetheart. Today meant so much to us all," she said forcing a smile. "He'll be gone, for good." Everyone was silent for a while.
I felt like someone was on the other side of me holding me, and I could of swore I saw Justin. It was a safe moment but it quickly faded. "You can come over to eat if you want, dear," Justin's aunt offered.
"No, thanks. I'm gonna go home and rest. I had no sleep last night." I hugged everyone and was reminded to call them later. I rushed off to the Mellon Arena and run into the building and through the locker room. The guys were still on ice and I ran out to call for Sidney.
He looked over and rushed over to me, "Baby, what's wrong?" he asked holding me. "Did you go to the hearing?" I could only nod with tears falling more and more. "Raina, what happened?"
Every time I tried to speak, I whimpered. Sidney took me into the locker room taking off his helmet. "I'm gonna shower, really fast, and we can talk so I'm not sweaty." He stood up and brought me tissues. "Cheer up, boo," he said and kissed my forehead. He did exactly what he promised and was clean in only five minutes. "Let's go home, Raina," he said helping me up and holding me close.
As we got back to my apartment I just looked at Sidney will my dark, sunken in eyes. "I have to leave Pittsburgh," I said quietly. "I need to go away for a little. I know Kenny's going to try something and it's not safe for me."
Sidney sat down and held my hand. "Raina, I can help you. I can get security and-"
"Sid, I want a normal life. Not where someone's watching my back every second. I need to leave and only tell you and my parents. No one else."
"Only if you promise to stay at my house in Nova Scotia or with my parents. They'll help you out till you feel safe enough to stay at my house alone. I want you somewhere I trust."
"Sid, I have a job."
"And I have a beautiful girlfriend I want to keep safe. Please, Raina. I'll pay for everything. Please, just promise me you'll do this."
I gave it a serious, long thought and knew it was for the best and got up to pack for Canada.

\\.::Eighteen::.//
The hearing.
I feared what would happen. I really wanted to go and save everything, but I feared what Kenny would do. I knew he would have his buddy go after me or something. So, I had to stay away from it. My mind kept yelling at me that Justin lost his life. So, why am I not going to go and help do the right thing because I’m scared?
Sidney returned from the bathroom and put his arms around me. I could smell the mint from his toothpaste as he let out a sigh. “Beautiful view, huh? Just like you.” I just smiled and enjoyed the moment. “It reminds me of Montreal. It’s not as beautiful as there, but it just reminds me how great it is. You would love it. I want to take you there someday.”
I smiled, “I would really like that.”
“So would I,” he said staring out of the window. It felt like we could have stood there till the sun came up. Sidney kissed my check and whispered in my ear, “Let get to sleep, baby doll.” I nodded and fallowed him to the bed. He pulled down the covers and we got in together. He pulled me close and kissed me gently. “I love you, Raina. Night.”
“I love you too, Sid. Good night.”
I woke up to an empty spot next to me. I remembered Sidney leaving earlier and kissing me goodbye. I just wished he was still next to me. I really needed him close to me lately. I started to cry. Everything was over taking me at the moment. I needed out of the hotel room and walk around. I figured I’d go out and grab something to eat. I showered and did my hair and makeup.
I threw on a pair of jeans, black boots and black sweater with my coat. I grabbed my purse and room key and walked down the hall way. I knocked on Marc-Andre’s room and Vero answered. “Raina!” she yelled hugging me. “I’ve been up before Marc left, and I’m bored as shit. Common, we’re leaving!”
I couldn’t help but burst out into laugher, “That was the plan! Know any good places to eat?”
“The perfect place!” Vero smiled putting on her coat. She grabbed her stuff and shut the door behind her. “I can’t for the game tomorrow. We’re going to have a blast. I hope you brought warm clothes,” she laughed.
“Oh, I did. But I think we should go shopping, just in case we forgot anything,” I winked.
“I love the way you think.” We walked outside and got a cab to a small diner. Vero led me inside and we got a booth by a window. We watched people pass by as we waited for our breakfast.
“I feel so bad for boys being out in the cold all day,” I sighed and took a drink of my Coke.
“That just means we get to tend to them,” she winked.
I laughed, “Oh, of course!” We ate our food and headed to the closest mall. We bought new makeup and a few new clothing items. We decided to go back to the hotel and saw the boys were back, since Colby was roaming the hall.
“Oh no, the girls went shopping!” he cried.
“Oh no, Colby’s back!” I said back to him. I walked into the room with Colby and saw Sidney lying on the bed.
“Hey, you!” he said patting the empty spot next to him. “Have fun with Vero?”
“Yup, how was practice?” I asked taking off my boots.
“Good, fucking cold,” he laughed. He pulled me on the bed as I walked over to him. He held me down and kissed me. “I missed you,” he squealed.
“Awe, I missed you too babe!” I giggled. “I say we call in take out!”
“Deal,” Sid said with a smile and went to grab a phone book but Colby beat him to it and chucked it at him. This was going to be an interesting trip.

\\.::=Seventeen=::.//
"Morning," I greeted back getting closer to him. "Were you being a creeper watching me sleep?" I asked.
"Mayybee," he grinned.
"You're silly," I said pressing my lips to his.
"Mmmmm," he smiled pulling away. "You sleep good?"
"Yup. I'm moving in!"
Sid laughed, "I'm sure Mario wouldn't mind another family member."
"Good!" I said with a fist pump. Sidney smiled and kissed me. "Shower timeee," I sung getting out of the tangled covers. I got into my bag and pulled out my tooth brush and clothes.
I walked into the bathroom and got out a towel shutting the door behind me. I was happy Sidney never pressured me into letting him join, or sex each night. He definitely was a different boy. Which made me realize this is what Justin wanted. Me to be with someone who was just like him. He always wanted what was best for me.
As I stepped into the warm shower, I let the water run down my body and kind of just stood in there taking in the moment. There was nothing better than a nice hot shower. After I got out, I brushed my teeth and dried off. My hair was up in a clip and I threw on clothes I brought over. I wore a pair of dark skinny jeans, a purple cami, and a flannel. I dried my hair and put on make up before leaving the bathroom.
Sidney grinned as I walked out, "You never fail at making yourself beautiful." He kissed my lightly on the lips.
"Aren't you a sweet heart," I smiled fallowing him out of his room. He led me downstairs, into the kitchen.
"Wanna eat here, or go out?" he asked opening up the fridge.
"I'll cook," I smiled. "Just gotta help me," I winked.
"Will do," he smiled. He grabbed the pans and butter, along with eggs. He found the pancake mix and bacon. He scrabbled the eggs as I mix the pancakes. He threw a shell at me, getting it stuck in my hair.
"Crosby!" I yelled throwing a hand full of pancake mix at him.
"You're going down, Miss Raina," he grinned. He chased me around the kitchen, facing off on the other side of the island. "Scared?" he asked, with pancake mix dripping off of his face.
"Nope," I smiled throwing the eggs sitting next to me. He wanted to be mad, but couldn't help but laugh when he grabbed the pancake mix and pour it over my head. "DICK!" I yelled pulling him over the counter. He grinned and kissed me roughly.I climbed over the counter and sat on it as he continued to kiss me. Even with our gross selves, we got heated with the kiss.
"What is going on?!" I could of swore Sidney got whip lash. "Sid! What did you do to my kitchen?!" Nathalie yelled.
"Uh, we'll clean up! No worries!" he said with a scared look.
She couldn't help but laugh. "You better, Sid." We waited for her to leave and started cracking up.
I got off of the counter and started to clean up the mess. "God, Sid, you should know better!" I said trying not to laugh.
"Speak for yourself!" he glared at me, trying to hide a smile. After a good hour of cleaning, we headed to his room for a second shower. As we got in his room I pushed him against the door and kissed him. He didn't hold back. His tongue grazed my lips, separating them and tangling his with mine.
I pulled away with a grin. "Gotta get my shower," I winked. Sidney leaned against the door and sighed with a, Please come back look. As much as I wanted to, I had to get clean, and also, not go too far, too fast.
I got in the shower for the second time that morning. I got out and didn't even bother doing my hair or anything. I found a pair of sweats I brought and a hoodie. I dried my hair and put it in a bun. Sid came back into the room with the same look. "You're still beautiful," he smiled, kissing my nose.
I smiled as he pulled me on the bed next to him. "You're amazing," he whispered.
"I learn it from you," I whispered back and he kissed me lightly. "I'm the luckiest girl in the world."
"And that makes me the luckiest boy." I blushed; he always makes me blush. "You're coming with my on New Year's Eve, right? For the winter classic?"
"You want me there?" I asked excited.
"Of course, baby. You're my good luck charm!"
I giggled, "Then, I just can't pass it up!"
