\\.::=Fourteen=::.//

I'm so sorry for not updating anything lately. I've had writers block all month. And now that my brother deleted my sims, I've been going crazy so I'm forced to realize I need to update more. As far as my Patrick Kane story, I feel terrible I haven't got on that in two months. But an update is coming for that. And Staal is always slow for my brain for some reason, but I'll get on the ball. I promiss. Now on with the story.

“Raina!” my mom finally said hugging me. “Who’s your friend here?” she asked excitedly, even though I mentioned Sidney once before.
“Mom, dad, this is my boyfriend, Sidney. Sid, these are my parents, Kegan and Mitch,” I said politely.
“Nice to meet you,” Sidney said shaking my mom and dad’s hands. My dad looked like he just met God.
“Nice to meet you too, Sidney” my parents said together. “Hope you’re ready to meet the rest of the wild family,” my mom smiled.
“I can’t wait!”
“Raina!” my cousin, Kendal, said hugging me. “Who’s the man?” she asked winking.
“Oh, this is my boyfriend, Sidney. She’s my cousin, Kendal,” I told Sid.
“Crosby?! Oh, wow. I never thought I’d see the day I would meet the Penguins super star!” she said shaking his hand. Kendal was 25 but seemed too excited over the smallest things.
Sid laughed and shook her hand, “Well, it’s a pleasure to meet you.”
“Can you help me with the baby’s outfit?” Kendal asked. “I have three but I don’t know which to pick.”
“You would,” I laughed. “Wanna come, Sid?” I asked taking his hand.
“I guess I don’t have an option,” he said rolling his eyes and laughed. We walked into my old room and seen Kendal’s daughter, Joy, who was only 7 months old.

“Hey, Joy bug,” I said picking her up. “Awh, this one!” I yelled pointing to the white fuzzy dress.
“That’s what I thought,” Sid laughed.
“Can you dress her while I help Aunt Kegan with dinner?”
“Sure thing, ma’am,” I said setting Joy on the bed. Kendal left the room and Sid sat on the edge of the bed while I changed Joy.
“She’s beautiful,” Sidney smiled staring at her.
“Yeah, I can’t wait to have my own,” I smiled, buttoning her dress.
“I know what you mean.” I looked up at Sid and smiled to myself. I finished and picked her up. “Awh, aren’t you just beautiful?” Sidney said tickling her stomach.
She let out a giggle and I kissed her head. “Hey, Sid,” I said nervously, “I’m sorry if my family overacts over you. They’re young and knows what you’re all about.”
Sidney laughed. “Raina, I understand! I got through it every day. And let’s face it, it’s not every day you bring an NHL player home to mom and dad.
I smiled and kissed him. “Let’s roll,” I said as Sidney opened the door. We walked out and my mom looked over at us.
“They leave for a few minutes and come back with a baby!”
“I doubt it happens that fast,” I said sticking my tongue out.
My mom laughed and sat down next to my cousin, Pat. “So, Sidney, where are you from? Sorry, my husband’s the sports fanatic, not me.”
Sidney laughed sitting next to me at the table as well. “Its fine, I’m from Cole Harbor in Canada. Halifax.”
“Ooh yeah? I’ve never heard of it. How is it there?”
“Small!” Sidney laughed. “It’s really nice there though. I bought a beach house and it laid back.”
“That’s nice. You have siblings?”
“Yeah, a sister, Taylor. She’s 13.”
“She play hockey too?”
“Yup, goalie,” Sidney smiled. “She’s pretty thought to beat, even for me.”
“Must run in the family,” Kendal laughed.
“I guess,” he smiled. “It is supposed to snow tomorrow?”
“Not that I know of,” I said playing with Joy’s hair.
“Good, I have to be at the air port at four to go home for Christmas.”
“You’re leaving me!” I said sticking my lower lip out.
Sidney’s face soften, “I’ll call!”
I couldn’t help but laugh, “You better, or I’ll have to call Max and see if he has offers for me.”
“That’s not funny,” Sidney said making me giggle.
“Neither is you not calling.”
Sid rolled his eyes. “Sidney, would you like anything to eat? There’s a lot of food to choose from.”
“I’m fine for now, but I’ll be sure to get some pasta later.”
“You and your damn pasta. Don’t you get sick of that?” I said rolling my eyes.
“Don’t you get sick of shrimp?”
I had no come back. “So, mom, where are we going for Christmas Eve?”
“We’re going over Jen’s for dinner and then we’re having Christmas here.”
“Good deal,” I said turning to Sid. “Do you need a ride to the air port?” I asked, hoping to see him before he leaves.
“If you don’t mind,” he said looking at his phone. “Excuse me for moment,” he said politely and walked to another room to answer his phone.
My mom made sure he was out of hearing range before she spoke. “He’s a keeper, Raina,” she smiled.
“I guess he’s alright,” I teased. “He’s really one of a kind. I haven’t met someone like him who changed my mind about the whole dating thing. Sid’s just… prefect.”
My family smiled as Sidney walked back into the room. “Sorry, that was my mom. She wanted to let me know my grandma’s picking me up, since Taylor has something going on.”
“It’s fine. Family comes before anything,” my mom said getting up to check to see who else was there.
“Wanna meet more of my family?” I asked Sid.
He nodded and held my hand. “I really like your mom. She’s sweet.”
“My dad’s cool too. He’s just busy talking to his bother probably.”
Sidney laughed, “I understand. The night’s still young.” As we went through the evening, my dad came around with his brother and talked to Sid about sports and tried not to ask too many hockey questions. They were all getting along well and it was around one and I decided we had to get home so Sidney could get ready to head back home.

We said good bye to everyone and Sidney wrapped an arm around my waist going to the car. “That was so fun,” he said smiling.
“I guess so, considering you played every game there imagined and ate everything,” I laughed.
“I’m going to have so much to work off after break.” I laughed and rolled my eyes, getting inside the car.
